About Me

Kayla Austin graduated from Homeschool in early 2013 upon completing economics and government, two courses that should always be taken together. She enjoys writing both creative fiction and non-fiction, poetry, and rhetoric, although her success in the last genre is questionable. She has a passion for singing, choir, and acting, and feels at home on the stage. As the eldest of nine children, she has often contemplated what ordinary life as an American teenager would be like, and has decided that it must be very predictable and boring. Her favorite color is turquoise; her favorite music is classical, contemporary compositions for orchestra and/or string players, and (unashamedly) showtunes. She would enjoy working in a bookstore, and intends to do just that come spring. The thing she strives for most in life, however, is to have a strong, trusting relationship with God. We do not say that she has arrived at a point of perfection, but is always working upward. She likes vintage styles, rich colors, the wildness of nature, and has a real sword in her room. Sitting in the corner.
