Every well-written
blog needs a purpose. Those without a solid foundation tend to fail.
Trust me, I know from experience.
Trust me, I know from experience.
People are
the same way. They need a purpose, or they will falter and become wanderers,
without direction or hope.
This is a
blog written by a young homeschooler who found herself in a dilemma after she
graduated highschool. She knew that she didn’t want to go to college, unlike
most of her peers. She had a very vague outline for the near future, but she
wasn’t exactly sure what God wanted her to do in this new stage of life. She
was starting to feel a little lost.
Well, she’s
still not sure what the future holds for her. But she has found that her
purpose doesn’t have to be a tangible, touchable thing. Her purpose is to carry
on where God leads her and keep her eyes on the distant horizon, following His
guidance.

Hi Kayla! Thanks so much for stopping by and following my blog. I was touched and thrilled to find my blog on your recommended resources page as well! Your recommendation is very kind. :)
ReplyDeleteI see some like-minded books on here! Patrick Carr's Cast of Stones, among others. ;) I've met Bryan Davis, actually, and heard a session he taught on why Christian fantasy is good--just awesome. His books are ones I should like to read some time. And Stengl's books look epic, too.
And is this Gaelic on your blog? :D How wonderful! Wishing you all success with your blogging endeavors!
God bless!
Schuyler
I've been enjoying your blog for over a year now...I first heard of you when you spoke at the 2013 Inch Convention. I was graduating that year, and the sessions that you gave really helped me in my decision to opt out on college. :)
ReplyDeleteI actually picked up A Cast of Stones after I read your review. I really enjoyed it! Hopefully I'll get my hands on the rest of the trilogy soon. Bryan Davis is one of my favorite authors---he has some crazy plot-lines, but I really appreciate his work. I got to be a pre-publication reader for one of his newest books last fall. Anne Stengl's books are heartily recommended...her allegory is absolutely terrific. I'm hoping to review her books when I get chance.
It is Gaelic. :) I really love the Irish language and culture...just a little piece of my heritage. My understanding of Gaelic is rather limited, though, so I relied on google translate for most of that sentence.
Thanks for stopping by!
Dia duit,
Kayla
